Description: The RENCI Engagement at East Carolina University (ECU) has had a focus on assuring the health of medically vulnerable individuals during coastal disasters. During previous coastal disasters there have been major problems providing continuing care to the medically fragile. The ECU Project has been working for the last two years to define the medically fragile and provide estimates of the number of these individuals that could be affected by flooding associated with a major surge.
