RENCI, National Weather Service to hold decision support and technology summit

CHAPEL HILL, NC–Leaders from the National Weather Service, meteorological researchers from RENCI and  North Carolina campuses, and community decision makers will convene Oct. 29 and 30 to discuss decision support, technology trends, and how technological tools can improve forecasts, severe weather warnings and communication with the public on weather issues.

Mock trial, virtual world, real learning

The judge, jury, witnesses and lawyers were all in the courtroom on September 25 for a mock trial conducted by University of North Carolina School of Law students and faculty. But for the first time, attendance in the courtroom didn’t require being in the same physical location.
