New RENCI center at UNC Charlotte to focus on urbanization and regional growth
CHAPEL HILL, NC, October 24, 2007–The Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) today announced a partnership with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to create a new RENCI engagement center focused on forecasting urban growth and its impacts.

RENCI, NCSA collaboration wins conference award
A scientific paper written by a research team from RENCI and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) was named the best application paper at the recent IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering (BIBE 2007).
