Polish up that talk from 2020\, make sure you’re wearing shoes\, and head over to NC State Campus to spend the day with your favorite statisticians\, programmers\, data analysts\, and actuaries. This year’s event is sponsored by RENCI. \nWhat we’ll do\nBased on the bar camp-style conferences\, the program will be set the day of the conference based on all of the exciting pitches you’ll hear first thing in the morning. Bring your 50-minute talk and a stack of business cards for a day of mathy fun with all of your favorite analysts. Your registration buys breakfast\, lunch and coffee all day! \nKeynote Abstract\nThe prevalence of math anxiety and mistrust towards mathematical models are just some challenges that hinder the successful deployment of AI solutions. Moreover\, analytics professionals often struggle to communicate how their solutions work. All these factors contribute to a general lack of trust in AI\, making it especially difficult for analytics professionals to implement their solutions. Considering these challenges\, Walt will provide insights on actionable steps that can be taken to increase the probability of successful AI implementation.
