SUMMARY:Explore and Understand your Data and Algorithms with Interactive 3D and 2D Jupyter Widgets
DESCRIPTION:Abstract\nThe Jupyter Notebook has transformed data science with a browser\ninterface that combines live code\, equations\, visualizations\, and\ndescriptive text. In this talk\, a cutting-edge tool is presented\,\nitk-jupyter-widgets\, to interactively explore your data and the\nbehavior of your algorithms. By leveraging the high-performance\nrendering capabilities of modern web browsers\, cross-platform 3D\nvisualization\, without software installation\, is possible. Novel\ntechniques will be described that enable interactive visualization of\nremotely hosted big data. \nPresenter Bio\nMatthew McCormick\, PhD\, is a research software engineer who helps\nscientists perform computational image analysis for reproducible\nresearch. Currently\, Dr. McCormick is a Principal Engineer at Kitware\,\nwhere he curates the Insight Toolkit (ITK). ITK began in 1999 to\nsupport analysis of The National Institute of Health (NIH) Visible\nHuman Project. The toolkit forms the basis for numerous commercial\nproducts and university image analysis courses taught in the United\nStates and around the world\, studied by students who seek to apply\ncomputational and mathematical methods to advance open science.
