DESCRIPTION:Title: Tools for Efficient Acoustics Simulation and Audio Content Creation \nPresenter: Anish Chandak\, CEO/CTO\, Impulsonic\, Inc.\, and Research Assistant\, Department of Computer Science\, UNC Chapel Hill \nAbstract: \nThe state of the art in computer graphics in movies and video games has improved tremendously in the past few decades. However\, sound simulation and audio related technologies in these fields are still catching up. Impulsonic\, a startup out of the Department of Computer Science at UNC Chapel Hill\, will significantly advance the sound simulation and audio related technology in these fields. In this talk\, Impulsonic CEO/CTO Anish Chandak will provide an overview of two technologies being developed at Impulsonic: a Software Development Kit (SDK) for efficient acoustics simulation targeted towards architects\, acoustical consultants\, and video game developers; and audio content creation tools targeted to sound designers for creating sound effects for movies\, video games\, and live theater performances. \nImpulsonic is a participant in the Carolina Launch Pad program.
